Tools: Pins
Pins are used in the building of models to clamp or keep in position parts while the glue and adhesive set. Also in the build of some models in the Sky Hi Products range, particularly the BMFA DART and the GYMINNIE CRICKET, a dressmaking pin is used as an attachment for the rubber motor to the rear of the fuselage.
Plastic-headed pins, sometimes called glass headed pins, are used for general building work. Dressmaking pins are a cheaper substitute but are not as easy to use.
It is strongly recommended that plastic-headed pins should not be used as attachment for the rubber motor.
