British Model Flying Association Education Programme
The BMFA Education Programme aims to encourage youngsters to build and fly model aircraft and so
develop new skills and gain insight into the science and technology of flight. As SKY HI PRODUCTS is a major supplier to the BMFA
Education Programme we are knowledgeable about the latest
developments.
The BMFA offers a special low cost membership (including full 3rd party insurance cover) to schools, young engineer clubs, Air Training Corps, Scouts and other such organisations. For information on this please contact BMFA at: -

BMFA TEACHERS GUIDE
This guide is a 19 page booklet that is designed to familiarise the
instructor or teacher with the basic theories of flight. It gives a short
history of flight, shows different types of aircraft, both full size and
models, and explains how aircraft fly. The guide also suggests
cross-curricular activities and contains a glossary and bibliography.
DART FACTS BOOKLET
This booklet provides hints and tips on the building and flying of the BMFA Dart. It also explains interesting facts about the material used within the Dart model and includes advice on the repair in the event of a breakage.
The Teacher’s Guide and Dart Facts Booklet can be supplied free of charge with an order or by sending an A4 stamped self-addressed envelope. It is hoped to replace the above by a CD-ROM with even more information.
The BMFA now has a web site for education matters only called
www.flyyourplane.com
The BMFA runs two contests . The Model Aircraft Challenge is open to
competitors between the ages of eleven and fourteen. The University
Challenge is open to any teams of university or sixth form students. Entry to both events is free of charge and more information can be obtained from the BMFA Office address shown above.
